In 2020, with the impact of the global pandemic, many people were facing the chances of losing jobs and financial support. Our client came to the idea that she would love to help pilots keep their job during this difficult time.
RIGHT SEAT was a complex design challenge. First of all, pilot licenses are different based on the specific aircraft. Secondly, training pilot takes time and money to support the process. The system also needs accurate and secured data and information to ensure the co-pilot seat is open for needed pilots.
Initially, my team and I had three different solutions. After testing and researching, we decided to focus the team's energy on one solution- a platform providing opportunities. And within the limited timeframe, we decided to help our client establish the business plan, brand guideline, platform structure, and promotion video. Therefore, our client will be prepared with an essential toolkit while she finds the stakeholders for this project.
As a team full of designers, we started working on branding and UX designs once we did the initial research. My team and I were designing a timeless and classic logo for the branding and its brand identity. I was in the branding and UX design team until the platform was formed and moved on to manage the motion design team.

In the motion video team, I was the art director, illustrator, and motion designer. We had a total of about two weeks from beginning to finish. My team and I were working on the project over the weekend and finished on time.
This project was a unique period that almost all communication was through computer or phone. I'm glad the final presentation was excellent, and the motion video even brought some tears to our clients. I learned the importance of flexibility and good communication in teamwork.
