The Artivive experience
From still life to living artwork
A pink vase, warm orange and yellow flowers, and a deep blue background form the center of this illustrated still life. A decorative floral border frames the scene, echoing the shapes and colors of the bouquet.
I developed the illustration and animation, then used Artivive to demonstrate how augmented reality can add another layer to a printed artwork. The related Instagram reel documents the AR experience in a SCAD class.
Three ways to experience one illustration
As a still image, the composition works as a framed floral piece. Animation adds movement, and the AR demonstration shows that animated layer through a phone.
Illustration beyond the screen
A similar approach could bring illustrated prints, greeting cards, exhibitions, or packaging to life through an additional digital experience.
The reel documents the Artivive demonstration. Viewing this website alone does not activate an AR experience.
A Fall Garden
Inspired by a friendβs outdoor table arrangement and the Peachtober Garden prompt, autumn flowers and warm tabletop details become a small world in motion.

May Flower
A little movement, a little depth, and a bouquet of good vibes.
This floral animation was created during a demo for my ILLU 433 class at SCAD, showing students how to combine 2.5D techniques with illustration. Layered flowers and gentle movement bring depth to the lavender-backed bouquet.

A bright bouquet, a green vase, and small tabletop details become a moving floral still life. Created as a demonstration for my Dynamic Publication class at SCAD, this piece uses 3D rotation to give a layered illustration a playful parallax effect.
